Tsim Sha Tsui Commercial Press | Dial-a-Wheel — Hong Kong Telephone Exhibition

Description
"Give me a dial when you're free" — this classic Hong Kong slang that was popular from the 1960s to the 1980s evokes memories of dial phones for a generation, witnessing the golden age of telephones as the lifeblood of daily communication.
Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the Hong Kong Telephone Company, the "Dial-a-Wheel — Hong Kong Telephone Exhibition" invites you to step back in time and admire the precious collection of Hong Kong telephone collector, Mr. Law Siu-chung, author of "Hong Kong Telephones — A History and Principles of Early Telephones". The exhibition presents classic telephones, telephone books, and Yellow Pages from 1900 to 1980, recreating the communication lifestyle of Hong Kong in the 60s to 80s. It takes you on an exploration of the historical stories behind "dial-a-wheel" and "making a call", as well as the unique charm of Hong Kong's telephone culture.
